Greg Petrosian is a former Soviet Union professional long jumper and holds a personal best long-jump of 27 feet 3.5 inches. To put that into perspective, the world record for men was set in 1991 by Mike Powell at 29 feet 4.25 inches, and on the women’s side, some of you may know Jackie Joyner, who holds the Olympic record for women at 24 feet 3.25 inches. Following Greg’s professional long jumping career he moved to the United States to coach strength and fitness for some of the top athletes and sports teams in the world, which include in order of sport: Washington Redskins team – players that included Desmond Howard, Earnest Byner and Ricky Erving – all Super Bowl Champions; DC United Soccer team, working closely with Hristo Stoichov; George Mason University Track Team; Track and Field Olympians such as Tiombe Hurd, the current USA record holder in women’s triple jump, Rob Muzzio in the Decathlon, Sharon Hanson Lowery in the Heptathlon, and Olympic four man bobsled 2002 Bronze medalist, Michael Kohn. Greg also specializes in strength and fitness training for tennis players, and has helped coach top 100 professional tennis players such as Frances Tiafoe and Denis Kudla. Lastly, Greg is the inventor of Foot Flexer, a device that enables proper running technique and prevents shin splints.
